Bullying...We're Kickin' It Announces: Sibling Recording Artists as Teen SpokesTeam
BOSTON MA - The BULLYING...We're Kickin' It, across America National Campaign announces pop-teen recording artists, brother and sister duo, Michael & Marisa as their Official Teen SpokesTeam.
For 13 year old Michael and 14 year Marisa of Boston, their positive outlet is Music. The siblings have recorded their own song about bullying, 'The Same' which Kickin' It has incorporated into their campaign, playing the song during interactive assemblies when visiting schools and youth centers across the country to help inspire students to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.

"The Same" is a song that takes the listener through the mind of the bystander as she/he watches her friend bullying a lone victim in the cafeteria. Featured on CNN's web site, the name of the song fits the subject well since children in all grades use difference as a reason to discriminate, exclude, and make fun of their peers. Marisa, age 13, says: "We believe the key to resolving the bullying problem lies with the bystander." Michael, age 12, says: "It is important that, as kids ourselves, we stand up and defend our friends. Kids have the greatest power and the biggest responsibility to come together as a group and let bullies know it is not OK to treat others this way."
Through their charity events, donations and spokesperson activities, Michael and Marisa, are dedicating their time and effort into getting the message out there that all kids are “The Same”. They are providing a portion of the song proceeds to national organization: PACER Teens Against Bullying and are also national spokespeople for the organization, “Bullying…We’re Kickin’ It.".

Michael and Marisa to Release New Original Music
Michael and Marisa just completed a four-track EP co-written and produced by Peter Zizzo, an award-winning songwriter/producer who has been instrumental in developing the careers of several artists including Avril Lavigne and Vanessa Carlton. Gina Schock, drummer for The Go-Go’s, is also credited with a co-write along with Emmy nominated Amy Powers. This lastest EP showcases a more evolved pop rock sound with lyrics that kids find very relatable. EP is available now as part of a fan package prior to its official release this Fall.

New Jersey based Rock & Pop Festival THE BAMBOOZLE will hit the road for their 3rd nationwide tour this Summer kicking off May 21 in Columbia, MD. The tour features headliners Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, Third Eye Blind, & LMFAO, along with a stacked billed of support and is set to hit 26 major U.S. cities.
Michael and Marisa will be playing four dates on the Bamboozle Tour from June 24-27 at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ, Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, PA, Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY and at the Comcast Center, Mansfield, MA. They look forward to seeing you there!

Marisa was chosen by Mattel to represent their new documentary webisode series called "I Can Be.....a Drummer". The interview was recorded last year while she and Michael were performing in Los Angeles. Check out the video clip here!

MICHAEL RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT FROM GIBSON GUITARS
Michael is very excited to have recently received an endorsement from Gibson guitars and looks forward to working with Gibson. Even at age 10, Michael understands what an honor it is to receive an endorsement from the premier guitar manufacturer in the world. That Gibson is willing to enter into a relationship with Michael, and the Michael and Marisa band, confirms that they feel that the band’s future endeavors will be successful. Thanks Gibson!
MICHAEL AND MARISA SHOWCASE AT CMJ IN NEW YORK CITY
Michael and Marisa just returned from showcasing at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City to an enthused group of people from the music industry. After a couple of songs as a duo, for the first time, Michael and Marisa invited backup band members to join them. Michael and Marisa have been performing for three years as a duo and adding the three band members at the showcase was a milestone for them.

“A GUY LIKE ME” CHOSEN FOR COMPILATION
Michael and Marisa’s song A Guy Like Me was selected to be included in Emerge Volume 3’s compilation CD which was distributed to colleges in the Mid-Atlantic United States.
SUMMER TOUR
Michael and Marisa just finished a summer tour of 25 shows that included six United States: NY, NJ, MA, NH, PA and GA. Check out our new music video filmed at one of the August shows.

Hey all! We had a rockin’ time seeing a lot of you this summer.
We continued to record our first CD of original songs and played more than 20 gigs through 5 states, including our first visit to Nashville, Tennessee where we performed in front of some really great audiences! If you ever get the chance and you’re looking for lots and lots of great music, visit Nashville. There’s no place like it. Thank y’all in Tennessee for your hospitality.

Just back from Los Angeles, Michael and Marisa performed at the Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and attended the 2007 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and after party. There is a short review of their performance in Sugarbuzz Magazine. One of their favorite parts of the trip was visiting the set of Nickelodeon’s new iCarly television show produced by Dan Schneider, and starring Miranda Cosgrove (Drake & Josh, School of Rock). The show makes its debut on Nickelodeon in September and is sure to be a big hit!

A few weeks later they performed in New York City for the first time. “We loved how people in the audience were dancing and singing to our show and are looking forward to going back there again soon.” Michael and Marisa continue to work with producer Billy Garzone, on their first full length CD of original songs and will update their performance schedule as more engagements are added.
